Team captains must send an email to FP at NATIONALCHAMPIONSHIP@FASTPLASTIC.NET confirming their team's entry. Please list the following information in your email....
- Team Name
- Team's 2-5 man roster
- Team Captain
- Captain's address and cell phone number (If the captain does not have a cell phone please list a cell number of a teammate so your team can be reached when in Texas)

Fast Plastic will refund payment for any team that has registered and does not qualify for the NCT.NEW FOR 2008- MANDATORYSmoking and glass containers (bottles) have been banned from the NCT location (Williamson County Softball Complex). Individuals not abiding will be asked to leave the complex. Smoking is permitted in the parking area only.
DO NOT BRING GLASS CONTAINERS OF ANY KIND TO THE NCT VENUE.
All coolers/ ice chests will be checked prior to entering the venue.At the conclusion of the 2007 NCT both softball fields were littered with broken bottles and cigarette butts.
Hotel Information and DirectionsCedar Park has plenty of hotels in the area. Check with the Holiday Inn Express, Best Western, and Comfort Inn for rates. Any team unable to find vacancies in Cedar Park will find more options in nearby Round Rock.

Home Run DerbyThe Home Run Derby will be held on Friday, beginning no later than 5:00pm. Fast Plastic will hosts its 3rd Annual HOMERUN DERBY at the NCT fields. The field of 32 has been set. Click here to see the list of participants and their field assignments.
Friday
Homerun Derby will begin no later than 5:00 PM. Due to possible bad weather, players entered in the Derby will take their swings as they arrive. You will be removed from the competition if you have not taken your first round of swings by 5:00PM. Drawings for Round Robin will be conducted at the conclusion of the Homerun Derby unless the competition is taking longer than expected or bad weather looms. We hope to have Friday's festivities concluded by 6:00 - 6:30 PM.Saturday
All teams must report to the field no later that 8:00 AM. First pitch is scheduled for 8:30.Sunday
The FINAL EIGHT will begin at 8:30 AM.Format Details
NCT STRUCTURE
The 2008 Fast Plastic National Championship format will be constructed of Pool Play, followed by a single elimination Championship Round.Pool Play will be triple elimination with 16 teams advancing to the single elimination Championship Round.
Every effort will be made to avoid teams from the same region playing each other in the first round of Pool Play.

DRAW PROCEDURE
Teams will be placed into three Super-Regions.WEST (8)

- Random draw determines order of Super Regions 1-2-3.
- The Region within the Super Region with the most teams draws first.
- The team within the Region with the most FP3 points draws first.
- Each team will draw a ball (balls numbered 1-8). Numbers represent brackets 1-8. See diagram below.
- Then a coin toss determines if team plays game 1 or game 2 within the bracket.
- (Heads= GAME 1 and tails = GAME 2). See diagram below.
- Once all numbered balls are drawn they will be thrown back in the bucket to complete the Super Region's draw.
- Each Super Region starts with all the numbered balls in the bucket.
- As brackets and games fill, balls will be removed and teams will be placed accordingly.
